The show is introduced by an unusual find: a mysterious sorghum broom has been sighted and reported right in the place of the performance. It will certainly have belonged to one of the fearsome Maciare Nere, witches of Basilicata who have terrorized young and old for centuries! But will these Witches really be so terrible? To find out, the presence of two qualified specialists in Fantastic Archeology is essential, two funny professors ready to conduct, together with the participants, an amusing investigation, not without unexpected events and encounters with magical creatures. We will then discover that in reality the Witches are far from wicked, they are creatures capable of "seeing" beyond appearances, great connoisseurs of plants, herbs and their ancient properties, nice and generous!
The show is inspired by the fairy tales and folklore of the Basilicata area, rich in traditions and symbolic stories full of meaning. The Witches in particular fascinated our research as they well represent the drama of "Prejudice" linked to ignorance and hearsay, which leads to judging and being afraid of something that is simply not known.
