Bestiario Fantastico (working title) is a performative exploration that spans physical theater, dance, contemporary circus, and object theater, seeking to inhabit those liminal spaces where categories dissolve and ambiguity once again becomes a generative force. Drawing on the heritage of folklore as a living archive of collective imaginaries, the project does not reconstruct folk tales but uses them as a poetic device to interrogate the present. The stories and figures that inhabit it are represented as possibilities of the body, materializing a “rift in reality.”
A reality that transcends the categories with which we attempt to name, define, and categorize it, placing us on a threshold—or perhaps an abyss—where we can ask ourselves if there is a different way of being, of existing, and of relating to the other.
The scene takes shape through images, physical actions, and choral compositions that prioritize perceptual experience over linear narration.
